Yes. I say this was wise because, if you talk to someone there is a 99.9% chance you might accidentally "Spill the beans." I think Peter was felling scared, and very secrative. He propable wanted to tell the Germans so many things, and ask questions. I think his team is felling very worried and the might just want to go home and pretend all of the things that are happening never happened. JA=DB

Yes, because if he did talk to him then the commandant might have been even more angry with peter's response.I think Peter would have been freaked out since the commandant was getting angrier by the second.I think his team would have been worried because the commandant might have known that they know where Jan is.
