    - Norway has two forms of language, Bokmal and Nynorsk
    - Bokmal, also called, Riksmal, is the major form used in the cities, towns, and school
    - Bokmal is a Norwegian from of Danish
    - Nynorsk, originally called Landsmal, was created during the mid-1800's as a reaction against the Danish influence
    - Nynorsk, is based off of many dialects

  5. The Norwegian people

    1. The way the Norwegians say Merry Christmas is, “Gledelig Jul or God Jul.” Their traditions for Christmas includes an elf guarding animal called a gnome.
    2. The Norwegian people are controlled by the Tollvesenet.
    3. 18 year olds and older can bring drugs into Norway. 200 cigarettes and 250 grams of tobacco per person.
    4. Women are really respected in business and are given equal pay.
    5. Flowers, chocolate, pastries, and wine are to be brought if invited to a dinner.
    6. When a Norwegian gives a gift it has to be opened right then and there.
    7. When a Norwegian greets someone the must give a casual handshake, have direct eye contact, and give a welcoming smile.
    8. The Norwegians are to NOT! To think they are special. They are also not aloud to think they can teach someone else something.
    9. Only 99% of the Norwegians speak the official language.
    10. The woman of Norway have a choose to stay home and take care of the young. If the woman picks that choose they get a monthly pay from the government.
