#1:they didn't have the techniques of skiing then. #2: Mostly made of wood, the skis could easily break. #3: metal skis were rare since the war was going on. #4: A lot of people in Norway knew how to ski in the northern part since it is so close to the artic circle. #5: Hardly any people fell since the people knew how to ski a lot.

Sigurd hall died instantly in a skiing accident. He was racing in the 6th Silver Skis open championships.

1.East skiing was invinted by the British.

3.Through the 1950"s and 60"s skiing became a sport for middle classes.
4.Skin poles were used and still used to keep balanced.
5.It developed frome a spear or pole used for huntting. Doubeled poles were used to reach higher speeds.
6.The southern skii has a two-piece binding.
7.Eastern silerean skii is a thin board with a vertical four-hole binding.
8.The pedel snowshoe wich was an oval wooden board later covered in fur.
9.Skiis must be at least 5,000 years old.
10.The oldest skii was found in Russia 8,000 years ago.
