  1. Winston Churchill was born to Lord Randolph Churchill.(

    After a brief but eventful career in the army, Winston Chruchhill became a Conservative Member of Parliament in 1900.


    In May, 1940, he became Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and remained in office until 1945.

    Queen Elizabeth II conferred on Churchill the dignity of Knighthood and invested him with the insignia of the Order of the Garter in 1953.



    In 1900, he published his only novel, Savrola, and, six years later, his first major work, the biography of his father, Lord Randolph Churchill.

  2. 1.England and France do not want to enter another war however, they assume that Poland is next. They say that if Hitler tries to take control of Poland they will enter the war.
    2.To avoid war, France and England go to Stalin and ask not to take Hitlers side.
    3.Then...on Sept. 1 1939 Germany attacks Poland, thus starting the second world war.

  3. The gestapo grew to 46,000 members during world war two.
    The Gestapo allowed terroristic methods to control the public.
    The Gestapo is a secret German police force.
    The Gestapo and the SS helped the Einsatsgruppen attack the Jews in the holocaust.

  4. 1.Invasions were used to destroy stuff.



    2.The people were getting killed during the ww2 and with the invasions.


    3.The invasions were very important to the army.

  5. -Paratroopers are used for tactical advantage as they can be inserted into the battlefield from the air, thereby allowing them to be positioned in areas not accessible by land.
    -most often special forces units, use ram-air paragliders which offer higher ability to turn and maneuver and are deployed without a static line from high altitude.
    -In World War II paratroopers most often used parachutes of a round design. These parachutes could be steered to a small degree by pulling on the risers.
